February 10th Daddy-Daughter Dance brought 39 families together in a heartwarming event, and on March 2nd, the Mile High Tumblers hosted an event showcasing the athletic abilities of our tumblers.

A&B hosted its 3rd Annual Celebration, which included workshops on nutrition, cardio fitness, bike riding, skateboarding, and public transportation. The success of this event led to the organization of the Community Health Fair in July, focusing on health equity, mental wellness, financial literacy, and fitness.

Our Halloween Event brought together over 100 families for a safe and festive celebration, thanks to partnerships with CALC, Buffalo Wild Wings, and the Montbello Organizing Committee.

The US Marine Toys-for-Tots Toy Drive and Scholar-Athlete of the Year Awards in December were highlights of the holiday season, bringing joy to over 150 families and recognizing the academic and athletic achievements of our youth.

We held two exciting boxing tournaments: the Boxing in the Bayou tournament on February 17th and another event on August 17th, showcasing the discipline and skills of our student-athletes in boxing.

Athletics & Beyond continued its mission to create positive outcomes for young athletes. We served 764 members.

The Team Colorado 7v7 program had 107 players and a 100% high school graduation rate for the class of 2024. Student-athletes visited seven colleges, including Tulane University, where they attended the HBCU All-Star game, and other prestigious institutions like Kansas State University, University of Notre Dame, University of Nebraska, University of Utah, CSU Fort Collins, and University of Colorado.

Over 1,680 after-school meals were served to participants, ensuring that students received proper nutrition alongside their educational and athletic development.

A&B’s workforce development programs connected young adults to career pathways through job shadowing and internships, emphasizing soft skills and professional development.

In collaboration with Brooksource, Gold Star Hotlinks, and Smoothie King we provided real-world experience for our students in job training and wellness programs.

In partnership with US Bank Denver Black Heritage BRG our financial literacy workshops reached hundreds of students and families, equipping them with the skills to make informed financial decisions.

Partnerships with the University of Colorado provided evaluation support and campus tours, giving our youth a glimpse into higher education opportunities.

Collaborations with SelahV Wellness, Social Venture Partners, Bridge the Gap, and other local organizations allowed us to maximize impact while reducing costs.

Support from the US Marines Toys-for-Tots, 1st Bank, Brooksource, Resolute Investments, and MLB Players Trust were instrumental in funding events like our holiday toy drive.

Athletics & Beyond Family Wellness Center finished 2023 with 672 gym members.

A&B employs 6 individuals from Montbello and surrounding communities.

The program contracts and provides economic opportunities for 9 independent trainers. Contracts 7 BIPOC/community-led businesses for services (cleaning, legal, Human Resource, Mental Health, Massage Therapist, apparel, and accountant).

Provided 1 young lady with a $1,700 scholarship in the name of DaVari Armstrong

Provided over 80% of our student-athletes received partial or full scholarships. Football scholarship 47.92% of 81 athletes received support.

The center served over 5,250 healthy meals to students & Over 350 toys were distributed.

The organization hosted boxing, wrestling, football tournaments, and tumbling clinics attracting over 2,200 athletes, friends, families, and supporters.

Youth sports programs for baseball, basketball, boxing, Team Colorado 7v7 Football, Sprint 50 track, tumbling, and wrestling. Adult family fitness, nutrition classes, community room.

Team Colorado 7v7 Football grew from 2 teams in 2022 to 4 teams in 2023 and the 12U team earned 2 tournament championships.

The Boxing program in just 3 years is ranked #13 nationally and #2 in the state of Colorado.
